Saint John United Methodist Church supports several important ministries in the Anchorage area and beyond as partner ministries. We encourage our church family to not limit their mission work to the church but to share their time, talent and treasures widely, all for the glory of God.
Below are some of the programs that we support with ongoing partnerships:
Love INC mobilizes local churches like Saint John to transform both individual lives and the life of the community by helping churches develop gap ministries to neighbors with needs who are underserved by existing agencies and ministries. Saint John’s special gap ministry in support of Love INC is supplying basic bathroom necessities for persons in transition.
Habitat for Humanity is the well known ministry that helps deserving persons find a house of their own through sweat equity and a lot of community involvement. Saint John regularly participates in local Habitat “builds.”
